Loved It!

I was thrilled to watch the trailer months ago for Youth In Revolt. Today I saw the movie. I loved it. The characters were highly enjoyable to watch and root for, and there were great surprises with bits of animation and a great soundtrack throughout. Go!

Get some candy on the way!

I Want To Live Here, At Least For A Weekend

Over on A Cup of Jo, I just read about newlyweds who spent their honeymoon at Treehouse Point in Washington. They were, as you can guess, in a treehouse. But have you ever seen one so magical? Kudos for having a honeymoon that's different and definitely in the heavens.

How fabulously awesome and romantic.

Wow, I'm really thinking 2WIRE899 never sounded so...courteous?

But I'm The Girl Who Updates My Status About Pretzels

...and quotes from The Office, not from Death Cab. I've been saving this little gem of a quote from The Office for a nice FB update and I think I will just go ahead and post it right now since it's totes true. I have been watching a crapload of The Office lately. Classic.

"Productivity is important, but how can I be productive if I have this one little thing in my brain, that I can't get out, and that thing is a soft pretzel." --Michael Scott, The Office

And in order to satisfy this said craving, since it's not Soft Pretzel Day around MY office, I can perhaps just whip up a batch of these Garlic Soft Pretzels via Sugarlaws.
Thanks Lynn for the link!

Soft Pretzels. HARD.

(That was my attempt to make 'hard' happen. Shit, that already sounds bad.)

You Are Who You Deafen Yourself By

shirt via Threadless

Tonight my friend and AAAD Reader Allison and I discussed going to the upcoming Vampire Weekend concert, which I dubbed Hipsterfest 2010 (although that's sure to be Coachella or one of the 6623 upcoming musical festivals that are so underground they are already dead because they have already gotten cool and then gotten to be "too cool" and therefore died. What? I don't know.

Whatevever, it reminded me of this great post that Katie sent me: Stereotyping People By Their Favorite Indie Bands.

This list of full of bands I am clearly not even near cool enough to know let alone dub my favorite. But, my favorite one listed would be DCFC, which would put me in the category of "Girls who quote lyrics as their Facebook status."

Who are YOU?

Melissa Darst is awesome. Now her blog is even awesomer!

I have mentioned the fabulous Melissa Darst on my blog before. But now for 2010, Melissa has relaunched her blog, and I must say it's better than ever. Melissa is fabulous to work with and an incredible ray of sunshine to be around. Looking for baby photos, family photos, engagement photos? She's your photog. Love the blog. Love the gal.

Monday Nights Are Back

I can't believe I didn't remind you all of this hot mess last week, but duh, the Bachelor is back! Monday nights are back in full effect, with two of my girls over to watch all of the drama and ridiculousness ensue. I have a lot of thoughts on this season, but not as many as Reality Steve. If you want his scoop on the "real" truth behind the Rozlyn scandal, and SPOILER ALERT!, the full rundown of the finalists in order of departure (look! PILOT REFERENCE!), click here. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Regardless, I don't care what ounce of truth there is in what I am watching, (only 20% truth in that sentence) it's entertaining and I cherish the quality time I have with my friends talking about it.

I'm telling you now, though, ladies (Current Bach. Season 14 Contestants), yes, you might be edited poorly, but the editors ain't completely putting words in your mouths. Can you do me a favor (and yourselves) and TONE DOWN THE DESPERATION?! Geez, life can be really awesome even if you don't have a co-pilot. (BAM! ANOTHER PILOT REFERENCE!) Get a clue and some confidence and maybe you'll come across a little bit less KRAAAAAAAY-ZI!

Keep It (First) Classy!
