I love pillows to add some brightness and spunk to the world of beige sofas and chairs. Lynn and Katie gave me these amazing PB&J pillows for Hanukkah (Bert really prefers the jelly) which I love. AAAD Reader Allison spotted Etsy seller Diffractionfiber via I Heart Daily who has even more pillow fun. I love these Mustard, Ketchup, and even Soy Sauce Pillows (with stain!). Check out more here. Fun! Pia The Pig
Okay friends, let me tell you. I have eaten the most amazing thing you will ever make in a crock pot. If you think you can beat this, leave a comment with a recipe. And yes, it's better than your queso. AAAD Reader Andria found this recipe for Black Bean Soup With Mojo and it was the perfect blend of salt, cilantro, beanage, and fall-of-the-bone pork. Perfection. Make this today and then again on Super Bowl Sunday. You won't be sorry.
OH! And a special bonus since you all were so patient with my lack of posts this week. CATS IN CROCK POTS!!!!!!
AAAD Reader Anne and her adorable husband Mark had a superfun wedding, filled to the brim with amazing detail and bursts of autumns orange and reds. Anne and I had a blast creating her invitations which had every bit of whimsy and elegance as her wedding. Apparently their wedding caught the eye of the Dallas Wedding Planner blog, which featured their wedding right here. Be sure to check out the grooms cake. All of the photos by Sarah Kate. AMAZING!
So you know Kim, that supercrafty bride I just talked about? Well today at brunch she mentioned a bit of a bizarro wedding she went to recently, where the house where the reception was held was filled not only with love, joy, and drinks, but also with loads and loads of taxidermy. I didn't really have a good mental image of this decor, until I saw these amazing photos on her Facebook. I guess an appropriate reply after dinner would have been, "I'm stuffed?!"
