It's Not Too Late
To hop in the car and head to Austin this weekend (like me!) to the Renegade Craft Fair. I am SO excited to be able to go to this and a little afraid I might be squeezing a lot of purchases into the Mini. Not sure what the RCF is? Read all about it here, on Etsy's blog. Did you know Etsy had a blog? I just recently learned. It's lovely.
But, if you don't want to take a road trip in the rain, you can delight in what I have been enjoying all week: watching a TV show on DVD for hours on end. I so rarely do this, but always enjoy it oh so much. On the laptop in bed is even better. I've delved full-force back to Cali Cali and am reliving all of the greatness of The OC. Many of you know I will forever love Seth Cohen. And if you need a reminder, here's Adam/Seth/my husband looking adorable and promoting the best thing to happen to teen soap/dramas since Felicity. Ooh, that might need to be the DVD I hit up next.
Have a GREAT weekend!

Home Week Continues with An Ode
To the closet office and the IKEA Lack shelf. I had a large lonely wall in my new place that has really warmed up and accessorized well, thanks to the longest Lack shelf (and the awesome install by my brother.) It makes the wall really pop. I love it.
So, thinking about the IKEA shelves and how they turn any wall into a glorified museum and provide easy shelving anywhere, I thought I could combine the love of these shelves with some photos from the inspiration folder of some amazing closet-turned-offices. I turned a large walk-in closet in my old house into a very cosy little office for me (and Bert who loved the shelves.) The closet luckily had a lot of built-ins and some breathing room. But it NEVER had the amazing gusto and warmth of these babies below. I am THRILLED to have an entire room for an office now, but these make me want to sit down in them and get to WERK!
This is my all-time favorite. And I am not even a blue person. I LOVE THIS WORKSPACE!

...And Shannon Miller. There's a new sensation from Edmond, Oklahoma. Meet Greyson Michael Chance, performing Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi."
He is taking the world by storm!
Here are two of his original songs. These are beyond.

I'm Schvitzing For A Sno-Cone
My hair is a frizzball which can only mean two things: it's hot in Dallas and it's time for a m'f'in SNO-CONE.
I've asked the lovely Sarah of Two Hot Potatoes to give me the scoop on DFW sno-cones, as she was very exuberant as we discussed the topic at our friend's wedding. She writes, "So my personal favorite snow cone is MC Snow Cones – 183 & MacArthur. They have a snow ice cream snow cone that tastes like heaven in a cup.
I also have a special place in my small heart for Snowballs at Doc’s food store.
It makes me feel good about eating a snow cone for health since he uses real fruit juice.
Or you can risk your life to get a snow cone at Aunt Stelle's Sno-Cones in the hood. It’s totally worth it.

Thanks, Sarah. I need a Doc appointment!

Half Price Books, Full Amounts of Awesome
Tomorrow night I have a book club, so what better time to get the book than today?! :/
The book, which I am excited to cram in tonight, looks great. The $26.99 price tag at the bookstore...not so much. Boom, a pristine copy, found at HPB for just $7.98. I love this place. I became a fan/like/whatever the latest term is on Facebook, and was thrilled to see that my HPB on NW Highway is offering free movies in the parking lot this summer. Last summer, I took full advantage of the free outdoor movies around town. It's a cool way to have a picnic and enjoy the summer air. Here are the deets:

Savvy Moms and Savings
AAAD Reader Alice wrote a brilliant piece for the Dallas Observer in March that I am still thinking about regarding Moms and blogs and the power of Twitter. I was thrilled to tap into that power as I found a link to this great Gap and Banana Republic outlet mall coupon that saved my mom and I some cash over the weekend. I back-tracked the link to Twittermoms.com, that seems to be a great community for all of you savvy, amazing moms out there. Check it out.
Happy Savings!

Amazing Modern Paper Partywear by Jonathan Adler
I LOVE Jonathan Adler and as most of you know, I love me a good party platter, dish, tumbler, or anything bright and snazzy. Thanks to a post on the hostess blog, I'm thrilled to share with you a fantastic merging of two loves.
These paper lanterns are effortless chic and now even more colorful.
These two-sided reusable tumblers are all-around fun.
Brightly colored dessert plates and napkins round out the fun collection.
The Jonathan Adler site is amazingly fun. Have a look!
