We're Wilderness Girls and It's Party Time

Last night I officially kicked off the holiday season alongside AAAD Readers Pablo, Gina, Kellyn and Allison as we toasted photographer Vanessa Gavalya and our friend Kristie of Those 3 Reps. We had a marvelous time shipping champagne (more like guzzling. It's been a long week.) and wine and eating expensive meats and cheeses from the penthouse of The Joule. Yep, a normal Thursday night (LIEZ).

Anyway, it was fun to get glitzed up especially as I slummed and bummed in a hoodie and jeans earlier in the day at the office. It definitely made it feel like the holidays! I wore a black dress, purple tights, and patent Mary Janes and liked my outfit, but was completely wowed by Gina and her amazeballs outfit that was less than $60. My other friends looked pretty damn awesome as well but I am thrilled to feature Gina's finds as today's awesome.

Gina paired this Forever 21 dress (which was much longer on 5'3" Gina than 6-foot model) and it looked stellar.

The detail on the sleeves is gorge.

She snatched up these perfect patent pumps from Target which look way more expensive than $29.99.

Great combo! And while I was searching for her looks online, I found a few other looks that I might just have to grab for the next holiday soiree. God forbid I wear something from last year. HOW NAUGHTY.

Loving this Lace Accent Dress from F21. And since 90% of my wardrobe is grey and black, it works.

HELLO FLAPPER! WANT. Look at how much fun she is having just standing there, hungry and alone. Imagine how happy a girl with a glass of champagne and a plate of prosciutto would look.

Wouldn't those go fabulously with some tights and these t-straps? Why, they'd be T-riffic. (see above: long week.)

Perhaps you're feeling a bit more vixen-coog? Why not opt for these snakeskin platform pumps? RAWR.

The holidays may not *officially* be here yet, but the parties are startin'!

Forever 21 and Target FTW!
Happy Holidays!

Two Great Cookie Shirts

Yesterday was Sesame Street's 41st birthday. So, great reason to celebrate by purchasing a Cookie Monster "ironic tee."

First, this Monster In The Closet tee is a lovely choice.

And as soon as I sent it to AAAD Reader Brad, he shot back with this even better gem. Aptly titled The Binge, it's a title and t-shirt I can relate more to than monsters in the closet. I mean come on, I'm an adult here. Surely I know there are no monsters in my room...right?

Thanks, Brad for the shirt. And remember, if you want to purchase something more, ahem, sponsored by Sesame Street, their online store has a lot of great treats.

Well This Is Great

My very old friend Joe shared this video on his Facebook today along with this note: "I am a huge 'Florence + the Machine' fan. I may be guilty of doing this too, when it plays in the car (minus a couple years). Her album is the best thing to hit the radio this year."

Could not agree more, and I owe Lynn for sharing this bombass singer with me.

Cracks My Shit Up

I just saw that AAAD Reader Pablo likes this hilarious 25 Pictures of Cats and Dogs Photobombing Each Other post on Buzzfeed. Here are my favorites. This is sure to bring the LOLs on a Tuesday.

I'm A Sucker For The Graphic Tee!

I got a sweet little surprise in the mail over the weekend, which was probably about 2 or 3 years overdue. I vaguely remember returning something through the Delia*s catalog a really long time ago, and getting some sort of "catalog credit." But, that really escapes me. Until, I opened two gift cards from Delia*s in the mail. HELLO! They totaled almost $100. That is like found money as my mom would say. I ventured into the store this weekend and didn't find anything yet, but their graphic tee selection did pique my interest even though it's kinda depressing to order an XL and pray it will fit. I guess that's what I get for stilllll trying to fit my almost-thirty-year-old-body into clothes made for tweens. Ah well, these still made me laugh. Which one(s) should I get? I'm kinda thinking all of them.

Fetch Tee (so classic)

TWSS Tee (this is a must)

Halp Tee (this is totes on my Facebook profile photo right now)

Check out the rest of the tees here.

I'd Like To Buy Some Awesome

Ever since this experience it's been a little difficult for me to watch Wheel of Fortune (cue the tears) but thanks to Katie sending me this amazing video, I have to kick myself in the pants for missing this one live.

Pretty Freaking Great.

A Lovely Dress To Accompany The Side Chignon

The Limited has done it again with another gorgeous wedding dress for under $300. This One Shoulder Embellished Gown is stunning and so is the price.

I DO Love This!
