I like to stalk the Urban Outfitters website because that is cool. Not really, but really. They do load it up with new stuff every day, and sometimes I find a million things online that I am not limber enough to actually see in store as they so stealthily merchandise the place.
Anyhoo, really liking this Recycled Metal Etch Pendant Shade and just might have to get this for my new dining room.
Also, this Waterfall Ruffle Duvet Cover is delicious and I want to smother myself in it, pretend it's a lemon cupcake, and devour the layers.
Finally, why not make something around your house THAT much cuter with these Dandelion Knobs? And they are in four colors. I love.
Happy Spring Shopping!

Wholly Awesome 5-Minute Before and After
I am moving and having the best adventure scouring Craigslist. I am super excited about hitting up some antique and thrift stores around town for some fun new furniture. And if something is ugly, BAM! I can throw a mohair blanket over it thanks to this great Before and After via DesignSponge.
I can't wait to try this and watch Bert sit on the chair. FUR OVERLOAD 2010!

PB+J = AWESOME. CAKE = AWESOME. TOGETHER = EXPLOSION
This PB+J Cake Pan from Fred Flare makes me want to dive into this cake and then get out real fast and jump into a bigass pool of milk. Done and done.
Here's a PB+J Cake recipe that would fit oh so perfectly between two slices of "bread" and then some.
(Purposely NOT inserting any sentence here starting with the word "Got"),

You Can Still Call Me Big Money
Well, today were the final auditions for Wheel. I practiced my pencils down to the nib (seksi), put on my "nighttime" makeup, (This is the same makeup I always wear with just more eyeliner...still trying to master the Taylor Swift eyeliner wing. Stellar, right?) and headed downtown to the hotel where the tryouts were taking place.
I got there early (a winning feat in itself). I stayed focused as all of the other contestants visited with each other, playing my new Hangman book. (Sidenote: on a trip to both Barnes & Noble AND Borders the night before to find such book, I saw two of my best lady pals at either store. I love my bibliophile friends!) Anyway, it was time to be called in and...you know what? This explains the whole thing.
Cut to my experience: I called all the right letters during the first round and did well on the test. I know I got at least 12 or 13 of the 16 puzzles correct. But alas, my name was not called to stay. I was surprised. And bummed. But oddly calm. It was not the right time for Big Money to shine. But I will never give up. I am moving to a great new place soon, and I left the tryouts excited to go sign the lease and get movin' on.
Big Money will survive and rear her glittery money face again. You just watch.

PS-I walked to my car and turned my phone back on to find numerous texts and emails asking how I fared. My disappointment turned to lemonade as I was once again touched and thankful for having such dear friends.

My Friends Are Awesome, Part 3.
My amazing friends and AAAD Readers Katie and Lynn as well as my new friend Randi blew it up in LA this weekend, rocking my socks off as well as some possibly toenails as they killed it in the LA Marathon. I was lucky to be there and join Lynn's family to cheer the girls on.
And as I stood there, spectating, inhaling my banana bread from Starbucks, watching as a blind man passed me, running the marathon, I decided it's time to step up my own level of fitness. Next time, I will opt for a "Reduced Fat" muffin I guess.
