Monday Nights Are Back

I can't believe I didn't remind you all of this hot mess last week, but duh, the Bachelor is back! Monday nights are back in full effect, with two of my girls over to watch all of the drama and ridiculousness ensue. I have a lot of thoughts on this season, but not as many as Reality Steve. If you want his scoop on the "real" truth behind the Rozlyn scandal, and SPOILER ALERT!, the full rundown of the finalists in order of departure (look! PILOT REFERENCE!), click here. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Regardless, I don't care what ounce of truth there is in what I am watching, (only 20% truth in that sentence) it's entertaining and I cherish the quality time I have with my friends talking about it.

I'm telling you now, though, ladies (Current Bach. Season 14 Contestants), yes, you might be edited poorly, but the editors ain't completely putting words in your mouths. Can you do me a favor (and yourselves) and TONE DOWN THE DESPERATION?! Geez, life can be really awesome even if you don't have a co-pilot. (BAM! ANOTHER PILOT REFERENCE!) Get a clue and some confidence and maybe you'll come across a little bit less KRAAAAAAAY-ZI!

Keep It (First) Classy!

Nice Little Guide Here

Loving this guide that's sooo now from The Daily What. Thanks, Katie for the link! We really went to the edge back in high school. I will keep that back in the 90's, though. I really need to get on this whole "Take a Risk" thing (in a non-psycho way.)

OMFG

AAAD Reader Katie sends me some seriously top-notch links. This one takes the prize. I give you CATPAINT! CatPaint is an immersive and multi-sensory experience, wherein you can put adorable cats on top of your photos. Also, they mew. With just a few touches, you can take a photo, cover it with cats, and send it off to your friends and family.

To get started, simply pull out the litter-box drawer to select a kitty, then tap anywhere to place it. Should you misplace a kitten there are Move and Erase tools in the drawer. Cats will always be placed upright, so rotate your phone to place cats on an angle
Whoa. NEED. IPHONE. NOW.

MEOWESOME! (whoa that was very CCL)

Because Vintage Is Awesome

Anyone who has ever been to my house in the last, oh, seven years, knows it's no secret I love me some vintage ads. The sexism! The terrible products! The icons! I love it all. Now you can have some fun walking down memory lane (even though I think all of my readers are under 30. Shout out, Mom! You don't look a day over 40!) or just seeing how far we've come (except for all Swiffer ads) in advertising with all the fun at Vintage Ad Browser.

Check out this Chef Boyardee ad. Convincing!

Enjoy!

Guest Blogger: My Belly. "We Have Something Awesome To Report"

I have an extremely dorky hobby which is finding delight and feeling the excitement of a 5-year-old in a candy store whenever I see a new product at the supermarket. God, that's even lamer when I read it. Anyhoo, my BFF Katie had a great idea a few weeks ago, which was for me to rate new products here on the blog. So, in the first installment of Awesome or Not Awesome, I report on Popchips. I saw these on the shelves and wasn't so sure. There's a lot of competition in the snack aisle (is this getting dorkier by the second? YES!) Anyway, one of my favorite bloggers actually put Popchips on her best of '09 list, so that was enough of a nudge for me.

Verdict: AWESOME!

I can't stop eating these things. And it's okay, because they are baked, all natural, and nice and crunchy. Sorry Baked Lay's, i'm just not that into you.

Got something you want Pia to try? Want Pia to be your guinea pig? Let me know.

Excuse Me While I Dork Out,

...but this is awesome!

Speaking of resolutions, I am keeping my eye on the prize of a 20-year-dream in the making: going to the Olympics. Saving up for London 2012. Remember, "if you can't be an athlete, be an athletic supporter!"

Here's to a Perfect '10!
