Smitten Sticks: Awesomely Fun!

In case you have been living under a rock, mustaches are huge right now. Mustaches on a stick = even huger. That's why I was smilin' to see Smitten Sticks by LePapierStudio on etsy, which are smiles and all sorts of fun on a stick. I love the style, too. More cartoonish and colorful than your average mustache on a stick. Wow, that sentence was so 2010.

These kits come in different fun colors and have been a hit on Etsy. Check 'em out before they sell out!

One more post on the way to round out a wedding theme today. Getting excited for A + B's wedding in just a month!

Girl's Got Balls

In case you missed it, Centenary College graduate Emily Hawley asked her boyfriend to marry her during her commencement speech. Her boyfriend was shocked and so was the rest of the crowd. Great story. I love a good surprise. But, after reading AAAD Reader Angie's perspective, I can't help but agree. Read Angie's thoughts here and watch the proposal and their interview on the CBS Early Show below.

What An Awesome Weekend

Hello Lovelies,
I am back from Austin and had such a simply grand time. I can't wait to tell you all of the great finds I saw at the Renegade Craft Fair and all over town. AAAD Reader/BFF Katie and I ate, shopped, and ran around Austin, having an awesome time. We laughed that almost everything I purchased involved a cat, including this fun cat tote from Target. More details to come!

Just Because I Learned How To Upload This

Photobucket

It's Not Too Late

To hop in the car and head to Austin this weekend (like me!) to the Renegade Craft Fair. I am SO excited to be able to go to this and a little afraid I might be squeezing a lot of purchases into the Mini. Not sure what the RCF is? Read all about it here, on Etsy's blog. Did you know Etsy had a blog? I just recently learned. It's lovely.

But, if you don't want to take a road trip in the rain, you can delight in what I have been enjoying all week: watching a TV show on DVD for hours on end. I so rarely do this, but always enjoy it oh so much. On the laptop in bed is even better. I've delved full-force back to Cali Cali and am reliving all of the greatness of The OC. Many of you know I will forever love Seth Cohen. And if you need a reminder, here's Adam/Seth/my husband looking adorable and promoting the best thing to happen to teen soap/dramas since Felicity. Ooh, that might need to be the DVD I hit up next.

Have a GREAT weekend!

Home Week Continues with An Ode

To the closet office and the IKEA Lack shelf. I had a large lonely wall in my new place that has really warmed up and accessorized well, thanks to the longest Lack shelf (and the awesome install by my brother.) It makes the wall really pop. I love it.

So, thinking about the IKEA shelves and how they turn any wall into a glorified museum and provide easy shelving anywhere, I thought I could combine the love of these shelves with some photos from the inspiration folder of some amazing closet-turned-offices. I turned a large walk-in closet in my old house into a very cosy little office for me (and Bert who loved the shelves.) The closet luckily had a lot of built-ins and some breathing room. But it NEVER had the amazing gusto and warmth of these babies below. I am THRILLED to have an entire room for an office now, but these make me want to sit down in them and get to WERK!

This is my all-time favorite. And I am not even a blue person. I LOVE THIS WORKSPACE!

Happy Friday!
